Kindly check if the following XML codes will make you able to install both Office apps and Visio/Project.īut make sure you uninstall the existing Office suite completely with the automatic tool before installing with a new XML configuration file in the ODT way. Welcome to Microsoft Community and thanks for sharing the updated details. but the 64-bit version available on my Admin console seems to be for Intel and won't install with ARM64.Īm I overlooking something stupidly simple? It seems that I need the 64-bit version installed before I can install the ARM64 version. The only Office installation I can install is 32-bit but ODT / OCT won't upgrade to 64-bit. I can't install the ARM64 version without an existing Office installation. re-running the ODT with the OCF file to try to update the Office installation, I get an error message that there's already a 32 bit version installed and therefore I can't deploy the 64 bit version - I have to either accept the 32 bit version or "uninstall your 32-bit Office applications, and start this 64-bit installation again" - which takes us back to the initial message that there's no installation to update downloading and installing the 32 bit version, it runs happily but shows up under Task Manager as being "x86" mode - I want the lovely ARM64 mode using the Office Deployment Tool with the Office Configuration Tool gives an error message stating that there's no installation to update I suspect this is because I have an Office 365 Business subscription which removes control from individual users and back to the Admin?įollowing the instructions at M365 Admins: Deploy Office Insider builds | Office Insider for Business.

If I try to install the standard 64 bit version the install fails with a message telling me to download the correct version for my OS or try installing the 32 bit version. I only get the option to download a 32 bit or 64 bit version - there's no option to select the CPU architecture (i.e. I have an Office 365 Business subscription (for a number of years without problems) and from the Admin console / downloads page:
I can't find how to install Office for Windows 11 ARM64 (Windows build 22489.1000 downloaded via Windows Insider Preview) under Parallels on a Mac Mini M1. Plus Sod's Law says it's pretty much guaranteed that I've read / watched every "how to" except the one that actually works! Apologies in advance if this is already covered somewhere - I couldn't find any existing discussions but that could just be because I haven't used this forum before so don't know how to search it properly.
